A summary of the owner-occupied value table by Ryszard Cieplechowicz. It reports self-reported home values from a survey, not sale prices.

Across the 132 selected ZCTAs, ACS B25075 value bands sum to an estimated 902,658 owner-occupied units. An estimated 214,053 of them (23.7%) fall in the $500,000-or-higher bands.

Columns

B25077 gives the median owner-occupied value with a 90% margin of error. B25075 gives counts grouped below $300,000, $300,000 to $499,999, $500,000 to $999,999 and $1 million or more. The $500,000-plus share adds the last two bands and divides by total owner-occupied units.

Limits

Do not average ZCTA medians to estimate a metro median. Derived percentages have no calculated margin of error here, so avoid close rank comparisons. Three rows lack a usable median but keep their band counts.
